A little explanation, if you'll indulge me: When I make animated icons the only process I know how can be long and laborious and is not just a matter of taking the scene you like from YouTube and adding a bit of text. The way I go about it on my shiny Apple iMac is to download the clip and convert it into a QuickTime movie. This is then opened in ImageReady and I select the scene I want and break it down into the lowest amount of frames as possible. From there I open it in Photoshop where I lighten & sharpen each indivdual frame, resize and perhaps add text if required. After that I open it again in ImageReady to make the animated gif making sure the file size is correct, (which sometimes fails!!) and then save the file and upload it to Photobucket. Only from there do I make it into a html table and upload the beautiful new icons for your viewing pleasure!
